Responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating the communications output within the Contact Center and Operations areas within the company. Design and implement an internal communications strategy to disseminate corporate information through the organization different tools; emails, brochures, newsletters, and other internal publications that reflect Oportun’s corporate culture.

The Communications Specialist will be also responsible for any design of external communication and branding strategy to position Oportun.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Create company literature and other forms of communication.
  • Create marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.
  • Copy edit, proofread, and revise communications.
  • Design and launch email internal marketing Values campaigns.
  • Recommend, implement and maintain site design and operation in synergy with Facilities and Project areas.
  • Promote products and services through initiatives.
  • Develop marketing communications campaigns.
  • Create thought leadership materials.
  • Identify, develop and execute communications strategy for brand Values and customer experience.
  • Develop fresh story ideas.
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics.
  • Manage information.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and comprehend sometimes – complex instructions, sometimes – lengthy correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, senior management and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
  •  MS Office, word processing, spreadsheets, Design software.
  • English fluency is a MUST
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Design, Marketing or similar
